We adopted Pete in 2016 and he quickly became a huge hit with the staff and clients here at Windsor Pet Hospital. Pete is an Orange Winged Amazon Parrot. The orange-winged parrot is endemic to the tropical areas in South America, from Columbia, Venezuela, Equador, Trinidad, and Tobago south to Peru, and central Brazil. Orange Winged Amazons are considered temperamental, and Pete proves that to be true. He loves to play Hide-and-seek and will “scream” whenever you jump out and say “boo.” Since Pete came along, it is almost mandatory for our staff to share snacks and lunches, his favorite are apples and cheetos.

We encourage our clients to talk and laugh (yes, he has mastered an adorable laugh) with Pete, however we must advise that you do it from behind the counter. Pete is very opinionated in many ways and we would like you to leave with the same amount of fingers you came with.

We care for each other and your pet like family. We hope that you feel the family-like atmosphere too.
